I SPY: Got Greens?

How do you make sure you get your greens in your diet?  A while ago I posted about green smoothies.  It was the start to my smoothie addiction, and every morning I was giving the kids a dose of green goodness too.  However, over the summer we lost that routine traveling, and since we've been back in school it never resumed.

Well now the same girls Jen and Jadah who's site I referred you to the last time have published a book.  YIPPEE!  It's inspiring me once again to get back on track.  So many delicious, easy to duplicate recipes.  Also helpful tips for dummies like me, on how to care for your blender, freeze bananas, and alternatives to swap out certain foods that your not a fan of for others that pertain more to your taste.



Today I start their 10 day kick start program in their book Simple Green Smoothies.  Everyday is a new recipe so you can't get bored.

Day 1: Beginner's Luck

2 cups spinach
2 cups water
1 cup chopped mango
1 cup pineapple
2 bananas

* use at least one frozen fruit to make a cold green smoothie.

Got greens?  Just takes one green smoothie a day.  Doesn't take much to start, and hopefully there after it becomes an engrained lifestyle habit I can naturally continue.  1, 2, 3…Get your blender mixing and become one of Jen and Jadah's RAWKSTAR's!
