I SPY: Candy Crush

Nov 4, 2014

How many black, navy, or camel color coats do you own?  Too many to count?  This is my PROBLEM.  In the last 15+ years I've collected a bunch of neutral color coats.  They're timeless, but after a while get BORING.  If I am going to get a new coat this year then it's got to be different!  I've seen on Net-a-Porter that candy color coats are trending.  Of course because winter pastels are big this season, and work well with all the grey and black we NY- ers LOVE to wear.

I like how the lighter PASTELS feel more Spring.  Tricks your mind to be in a different mood for a dark WINTER.  Good to add a pop of color to your wardrobe to brighten up our otherwise cold days we can look forward to.

All of the below coats on my board carry a hefty price tag.  GULP.  Not sure I want to spend a bomb on another coat, that I don't really need.  But the colors are PRETTY yummy right?  This trend is happening everywhere so must keep an eye out at places like J.Crew, H&M, Topshop, Zara.  I could snag a good deal there for a fashionista candy crush coat!  Why not?  After all us NY- ers buy coats frequently since we live in them for months, just like the LAX kids buy bikinis and flip flops.  ENVIOUS!  Am I living in the wrong city?  Obviously yes!  But we've got seasons in NY, so can take full advantage of ALL Fashions.  HOORAY to that!
